Vintage was photographed during a month-long stay in Sonoma and Napa Valley in which Bobby was preparing for his Certified Sommelier Exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers. The image quickly met great success in the gallery becoming the 2019 Patrons’ Choice, and as it stands, more than 80% of the edition has been sold. A 6-minute exposure on 4x5 film was the only truly fitting way to tell the story of this cellar high in the mountains above the Napa Valley. While wine is often misconstrued as the nectar of the pretentious, this could not be further from the truth. Any truly great wine is the culmination of a year of diligent labor, precise attention to detail, and finally the patient quiet aging of a well timed harvest.
