Marble Arches | At the heart of Milan, Italy lies an architectural wonder 700 years in the making, with some of the greatest minds the world has ever known submitting plans for its construction including Leonardo Da Vinci. While the drive for results can be both a blessing and a curse for those of us with unrelenting ambition in life, many whose life’s work was the Duomo di Milano never lived to see their vision come to full fruition. As the old adage goes, “the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” And because results - despite our best efforts - often fall outside our complete control, I think that sometimes our highest or divine calling, is simply to do great work with the resources and the time we are given. And so, the process of spending life in a worthy manner becomes the reward.
