Fairway to Heaven

The 148th Open Championship is upon us, a fitting time for Bobby to introduce the first piece in his new series Fairways and Greens. The piece is titled Fairway to Heaven featuring the approach to one of the most beautiful holes on the Pacific Coast during the golden hour with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. As always, the piece is available to our patrons at PreRelease prices, and we chose to stay super small with our edition size (Edition of 18 - to fit the subject matter in this case) despite the rarity of the conditions shown!

Fairway to Heaven | Edition of 18 | Single Exposure on Fuji Provia FILM After hitting my tee shot (and I promise this ball landed here naturally) I approached the green and was immediately struck by the perfection of this scene in all aspects - composition, timing, light play, and even the symbolic relevance. Few things on earth exert the body and mind like the game of golf. It is a game of paradox - of peace and madness, love and hate, rhythm and stillness, and learning from mistakes while simultaneously removing them from memory. A game that truly cannot be beaten, it offers a challenge as infinite as the Pacific that stretches on to the Horizon behind the green. “What course is this?”, you might be wondering. I will let you know only after you purchase the piece. ;) 20x60, 24x72, 30x90, 40x120, 50x150 (Panels Only)
